New Light II is the second piece in a three-part series within the Living Waters collection — created as a gift for new mothers, and originally donated to a nonprofit in Brockville supporting women through the postpartum season. Each painting in this trio was designed for the quiet, sacred space of a nursery, where both baby and mother are learning each other for the first time.

 

Where New Light I carries the calm of water and breath, New Light II holds the warmth of love rising — unexpected, overwhelming, and full of grace. The bold pinks in this piece flow like a heartbeat across the canvas, meeting soft blush tones and streaks of gold that shimmer gently beneath the surface. There’s a rhythm to the movement here, like the rocking of a cradle or the pulsing of new life.

 

This painting is for the moments when love feels too big to hold — when you’re exhausted and amazed and undone all at once. It’s a visual reminder that in the chaos of early motherhood, there’s beauty and light being born in you too.
