I painted this outside on our acreage in the Thousand Islands, with my daughter Autumn — only a few months old — sleeping beside me. I was new to being a mother, but I already understood something deeper than I ever had before: the power of simply being held. By her, by grace, by the presence of the Holy Spirit in the quiet moments.

Part of the Living Waters collection, Held is a reminder that we are not alone. We are carried, known, and wrapped in the kind of love that doesn’t ask us to strive — only to receive.
