The Waiting is a portrait of stillness — not the absence of motion, but the quiet presence of anticipation. A single rose cutting rests in a glass of water, caught in soft light and long shadows. Nothing is blooming yet, and nothing is withering. It simply exists in the in-between, full of possibility and pause.

Rendered in charcoal and chalk, the piece fades softly at the edges, echoing how uncertain and sacred waiting can feel. We don’t always know what’s coming, or how long we’ll be asked to hold the tension. But there’s beauty in that space — in staying rooted, tender, and watchful.
