The story behind “Unbridled”:
There’s a kind of wildness that isn’t chaos—it’s clarity. That’s what I feel when I’m near horses. They don’t perform, they don’t pretend. They are fully here—awake, grounded, alive.
I painted “Unbridled” out of that love. Not just for horses as animals, but for what they embody: strength without force, beauty without apology, presence without distraction. Every brushstroke was a study in movement and restraint—how much to hold back, how much to release.
The light along the muscle, the quiet focus in the gaze, the earth-toned palette—everything about this piece was meant to honour the sacred in the untamed. There’s reverence in wildness when it’s not trying to escape, but simply be.
